Saint Robert Lawrence was a Carthusian monk and priest. He was in the order of the Carthusian Charterhouse of Beauvale in Nottingham, England. Robert was killed with several brother Carthusians. One of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales.
St. Robert Lawrence was hanged, drawn and quartered on May 4, 1535, at Tyburn, London, England.
Beatified in 1886, Robert was canonized by Pope Paul VI with the other martyrs in 1970.
