A group of parishioners at Ours Ladys Parish in Eastwood are celebrating 25 years of working in many ways for Cafod including fund raising and social events. To help celebrate there will be a craft festival in the Parish Social centre on Sunday 11th September from 11.30 to 4.30. Admission is free and refreshments will be available through the day.

We have a varied range of very talented craftspeople showing their work, some will be demonstrating and all be be selling their pieces. So a wonderful opportunity to do some gift shopping, perhaps learn a new craft, pick up an old craft that you used to enjoy or simply enjoy the skills and talents of the local community.

Among the crafts will be bobbin lace, vintage teddies and dolls, embroidery, needle felting, soap making, painting, leather wear, crystal art, bespoke fine jewellery, knitting and crochet, cards, and much more including a very tempting cake stall.

There will be a chance for you to buy crafting supplies and books at very affordable prices to perhaps help start you of on your crafting journey.

A Cafod information stand will be present and a chance to meet and chat with Will the new diocesan “boss” for Cafod, who is looking forward to meeting everyone, and answering any questions you may have, so lets give him a warm Eastwood welcome.

We will be posting pictures from the crafters over the next few weeks tempting you to come and see their skills.

We all very much look forward to seeing you on the day.
